There are three sliders to help the Sailconfigurator to determine the sail construction and materials that should suit you, and the sailing you do.
The first is the Cruise/Race slider which can positioned where you believe the sailing type you do. Fully left is full cruising, no racing of any type. Fully right is where you only race, or racing is all that is really important.
The second slider is between Durability and performance. Sadly there is no material that is both durable and has the best performance characteristics. It should be noted though that high performance sails havea high performance for virtually all their life, and can last a reasonable time with reasonable care. Highly durable sails can last a very short time with careless use!
The third slider, going from inshore to offshore is to configure the sail correctly for fittings and taffetas. |
