Laundering and Re-proofing

Elvstrom Sails UK recommends you wash the salt and dirt off your sails and covers. This can be a hard job to do yourself, and takes a lot of clean space - which most of us do not have. Additionally, covers, sprayhoods etc can be washed and re-proofed to keep them looking new, and keeping you and the boat dry.

We have a long standing partnership with one of the most experienced laundry companies, who know about cleaning and washing sails. They know how important it is to not damage the sails finish with harsh chemicals, or harsh treatment. Your sails return to you clean and "like new" (or as new as they can!)

Laundering sails is priced based on the sails weight at £4.00 per kilo, and covers at £6.00 per kilo (including the re-proofing), and although this makes perfect sense, it gives you little idea what you are going to be charged., so to give you an idea we have given you a list of boats and weights of their sails below:
